Who we are
We're Glad You're Here!
Our organization is based in Belo Horizonte and was founded by Rosa Brambilla, an Italian missionary who arrived in Brazil in 1967. Since then, she has dedicated her life to serving vulnerable families and restoring hope to children growing up in underserved communities.
Obras Educativas Padre Giussani is a group of six socio-educational centers:
- Casa Novella – Residential care center
- Virgilio Resi Sports Center
- Dora Ribeiro – Early childhood center
- Etelvina Caetano de Jesus – Early childhood center
- Gilmara Íris – Early childhood center
- Jardim Felicidade – Early childhood center
We believe that transformation begins by recognizing the dignity of each person and by strengthening families. That is why our mission is to empower families to take the leading role in their children's education.
Come and meet us!
Our educational approach
Our educational approach is based on recognizing the unique value of each individual. All activities are designed to foster meaningful encounters among children, adolescents, families, staff members, and everyone involved in the educational environment.
- Valuing each person
- Attentive observation of reality
- Doing with, not for
- Being welcomed in order to welcome others
Our Centers
