Unit
Gilmara Iris
Founded in: 2005
Meaning behind the name:A tribute to Gilmara. She served as director for many years at Jardim Felicidade and helped Rosa handwrite the letters with updates about the children for their sponsors.
Our Story: The unit was established in response to requests from families in the Novo Tupi neighborhood and surrounding communities, who needed a safe and supportive place for children and adolescents facing the social challenges present in the region.
Activities began with a small group of 15 two-year-old children. With the support of AVSI (Association of Volunteers in International Service), the center gradually expanded both its capacity and the age groups it serves.
The building features a distinctive architectural design, with a partially open roof and large windows that allow abundant natural light to illuminate the indoor spaces, creating a bright and welcoming environment for learning and development.
