Who We Are:
Founded by our friend Alessandro Pascucci, the Centro Esportivo Virgílio Resi grew out of his experience volunteering at Rosetta’s Obras, offering a space dedicated to play, sport, and encounter for children, adolescents, and the whole community.
The name honors Father Virgílio Resi, a friend of Rosa’s and a great football enthusiast who was always surrounded by young people. The sports field was built thanks to a donation from Bruno Bertagnoli, a friend of Gabriele Carraro.
The Center’s goal is to expand play and sports opportunities for the children and adolescents of the Jardim Felicidade Obras Educativas Padre Giussani, while also making sport accessible to the wider community at an affordable cost.
Today the Center offers football classes and training sessions with qualified instructors, and also makes the field available to the community to rent in the evenings and on weekends.
Over the years, the Center’s teams have won numerous municipal championship titles and have also taken part in tournaments held in other Brazilian states.
