“Hi, I’m Taísa.” A resident of the Jardim Felicidade neighborhood since birth, Taísa shares a childhood marked by many hardships, but also by a place that transformed her story: the early childhood center.
“Inside me I see two Taísas: the one from the past and the one of today.” The daughter of a simple family, with an alcoholic father and a mother who faced many hardships, she found in the early childhood center a place of welcome, safety, and affection from the age of three.
“I remember my first day, when teacher Neide was waiting for me at the door and gave me a hug. I never forgot it.” From that moment on, she built bonds, friendships, and experiences that shaped her life. “Here I learned to be happy, to work, to be a mother, and to be a woman.”
Today Taísa recognizes the impact of this journey not only in her personal life, but also professionally. She started as a secretarial assistant, became an educator, and discovered her calling in caring for children. “I learned to be the Taísa I am today thanks to these people.”
She also highlights the presence of the educators and colleagues as an essential part of her path: “I have several mothers here. It’s love. There’s no other word.”
For Taísa, the early childhood center wasn’t just a workplace or a childhood memory, but a space where her life was shaped. “Here I learned to be a mother, I learned to raise my son. This place made me the person I am today.”
