Rosângela first met with our Obras Educativas in 1998 and has supported our mission ever since as a volunteer. For over 20 years, she has organized, together with friends, the Saint John’s Charity Festival of the Friends of Recanto do Muriqui—an initiative that supports three institutions, including our own Obras.
We extend our gratitude to Rosângela and Tião for their longstanding friendship and for organizing the 26th edition of the Saint John’s Charity Festival, held on the first Saturday of June.
Even with temperatures as low as 10°C, around 120 people attended the celebration, which was marked by togetherness, good food, and great joy. The program included traditional square dancing, children’s games, a prize raffle, and live music by Renato Matos.
A special thanks also goes to the volunteer team who made the event possible. From preparing decorations to organizing food and beverages, cleaning, and welcoming guests, everyone worked with dedication and joy, always with a smile.
We are deeply grateful to all who participated and contributed with donations in support of Casa Novella. The commitment of each person and the work of the volunteers made this Saint John’s Festival another meaningful moment of friendship, community, and solidarity.
