On August 29, 2015, at the Pampulha Museum of Art (MAP), one of Belo Horizonte's most iconic landmarks, Rosa Brambilla, founder of Obras Educativas Padre Giussani, was honored with the Urban Kindness Award.

Rosa received the award from Nilton Sena da Luz, who also nominated her for the honor. Affectionately known as Sena, he was welcomed by Obras Educativas as a child and later became a member of the organization’s team, making the occasion especially meaningful as he shared in this moment of recognition and celebration.

The event brought together friends, children, and families served by Obras Educativas to celebrate this important achievement alongside Rosa. Featuring dance performances and set against the iconic backdrop of the Pampulha Museum of Art, the ceremony highlighted not only Rosa's remarkable journey but also the transformative impact of Obras Educativas on the lives of so many people.

Presented by the Minas Gerais Chapter of the Brazilian Institute of Architects (IAB/MG), the Urban Kindness Award recognizes projects and initiatives that promote kindness, care, and collaboration within the community, honoring those who help make the city a more welcoming and humane place.
