2004 Abrinq Foundation Children’s Award

The project "Preventing Child Abandonment, Providing Shelter, and Supporting Family Reintegration for Children at Risk," developed by Casa de Acolhida Novella (Minas Gerais) in the Family Life category, received the 2004 Abrinq Foundation Children's Award. The project also inspired the publication of the book Back Home: The Experience of Casa de Acolhida Novella in Strengthening Family Life..

Created in 1989, the Abrinq Foundation Children's Award recognizes and promotes projects that make outstanding contributions to protecting the rights of children from birth to six years of age. Presented every two years, the award honors four exemplary initiatives from across Brazil in areas ranging from health to family and community life.
