Adolescents from the SAD Jardim Felicidade program participated in the first preparatory meeting for the 11th Municipal Conference on the Rights of Children and Adolescents, an initiative designed to strengthen youth participation in shaping public policies that affect children and adolescents.

During the meeting, participants began forming the Adolescent Participation Committee (CPA), electing representatives from each region of Belo Horizonte. Each candidate shared their motivation for joining the committee and contributing to the planning and organization of the Conference.

We are proud to share that Stefany, a participant of our porgrams, was elected to represent the North Region. In this role, she will represent adolescents from her community throughout the upcoming meetings and the Conference preparation process.

Creating opportunities for young people to participate in decision-making spaces strengthens youth leadership and expands opportunities for dialogue, meaningful participation, and the promotion of the rights of children and adolescents.
